so my grand escape to new york city seems to be foiled. boo that! however, in the free time that has made itself available, i will be picking out my new guitar. this being something rare for me, considering i've been playing the same guitar since 2003. but i'm beyond stoked.
despite the tragic fate for my plans, the course of the day started & ended with a much needed reassurance of sorts. the start was more of a better understanding of where things stand, clearing thoughts a tad. the "sequel" or what have you, was proof that gut-feelings are worth sticking with. certain words & sonic reminders, can't complain when you've got that. enough rambling metaphoric speech.
during work, i stopped home to grab the mail after a previous day's warning of things to come. to my not-as-surprised-as-i-could've-been surprise.... a christmas card from my favorite texan, stevie jo. she's a sweetheart & a great friend. my favorite part of the card was where she wrote "make good music, make good friends". yup.
went out a bit after work with brad. came home. called it a night. i took the time to edit some music & ended up posting another track on the Empty Handed NJ myspace. go listen!
