absense.

lately i find myself straying away from the sonic repeats of red animal war & searching for the words of jawbreaker. why? relateability. not a real word, is it? crap. i find myself chasing the ghost of flames, smoke that levitates & eventually dissipates. bigger words that tend to translate to anything but the fact at hand. metaphors, my halloween costume of daily thoughts.

once i wrote myself a note, a lyrical rough draft. "her hands are tied by the lines of communication, that let me send & receive these mixed messages, i am trying to survive asphyxiation & pull myself up by the wires that choke me". there are situations that complicate things & that makes it tough to truly believe everything. so in the absense at hand, i feel neglected & reminded of other flames that have burned me.

meanwhile, in the other part of my head... i am struggling for that rope to pull me out of this deep dark well. i feel like a detective searching for the clues to a case, impossible to solve. most people believe i am just an expired feeling chasing myself down a dead-end. finally i was given a soapbox to explain. i'm trying to fix something never meant to be broken. & being the king of bad timing, i'm struggling. but as a noble man once told me, follow your heart. i'm working on it.

Relatability is, indeed, a real word.

And even if it wasn't, who gives a shit. This is the internet, "teh" is an acceptable spelling.

to nick; maybe it looked wrong cause i spelled it relateability & stupid firefox didn't care to give me the correct spelling as an option.

to alina; take pride in your knowledge of these situations sans metaphors. jerk.
