usually i just write out my thoughts as the day has progressed but right now i'm still a little pissed off from something earlier in the evening so i'm gonna vent a bit first. ha. it really annoys me when you're asked to go out of your way on an issue that has no bearing on your responsibility. i do what i can to make my ends meet & work at it as best as i can without driving myself mad. i dont see where it comes into play that i should be forced to "help" a situation that i did not create & that the creator of such situation should've taken responsibility for. i try not to create problems i cannot handle & honestly it pisses me off being called "selfish" for my reluctance to help. i really rather not get too into the details or discuss someone else's personal matters so that's why i'm being kinda vague about the situation. for those who might actually worry... i'm fine. haha
aside from that, most of the day was quite routine with the exception that during work today, a regular customer gave me a christmas present. i received a 5 lb tin of imported danish butter cookies. yes, 5 lbs. normally around the holidays, regular customers just up the tips & all is good. but this was an exception & actually caught me off guard at first. regardless, i now have something to snack on for the rest of my life. also today i decided to dig up some of the final releases by Good Riddance. it really makes me miss the olds of when this stuff was new & i was actively playing out with my old band. also, GR's cover of the psychedelic furs is incredible. it made me smile hearing it again after so long. weird but true.
tonight i also talked briefly on some more future recording plans & i'm beyond stoked. next year should be interesting. not too much that i'm looking forward to as far as releases from other bands but a lot of good movies are coming out & i get the end the first month of the new year seeing hot water music play a reunion show in jersey with the lawrence arms also on the bill. rad as fuck!
