versus time.

every tick & every tock is a reminder of the nature of time. it slows down for no one, it does more harm than it does good. to reflect via calender. what do we learn in the very moment? as days have passed. four weeks ago. a month ago. a couple of years ago. grasping at answers, the future seems like an empty promise as the past gathers & builds it’s army of facts & memories. any second now or every second from now. a few million from now or a billion ticking sounds. waiting patiently. something i’m no friend of. will the days be better? waiting to wake up one day to the whispers of "you’re going to be okay".
