the charred remains of a bridge. with no other option but to travel across the frozen water. the debris left a huge crack on the surface. & as it grows, i begin to drown. i feel my lungs fill & weigh me down. lower & deeper, further away from the surface. of course we all wait for that familiar rope, but this time i don't feel it. there's a voice rippling down towards me, trying to calm the insanity. it'll get better, just be patient. but then she comes whispering into my ear. is this all in my head?
time transforms itself into this puzzle. seconds into minutes into days into weeks into months. missing pieces makes it harder to determine what i'm looking at. keep holding on, once in a while there's a clue. should i trust this? i'm throwing guesses, i'm trying to figure this out, but it's even harder to think with the timer ticking away in my ear.
tell me otherwise.
